Successful Auction by GreatDomains.
2007-10-02, HostMan.biz High-value domains trading platform GreatDomains, which is powered by online domain name marketplace Sedo, announced last Friday that its September Premium Auction Event was its most successful auction yet. The event, which closed last Thursday, reached over half a million dollars in sales revenue with over 30 percent of the domains selling, says the company. Participation also increased by about 74 percent since the last auction, with bidders taking part from 38 different countries around the globe. Notable sales include track.com for $100,000, federalgrants.com for $76,100, hoo.com for 47,000 and portals.com for $35,000. GreatDomains says this is the first auction where the domains' reserve ranges were shown to potential buyers. By giving buyers a ballpark idea about a domain name's reserve price, buyers are able to more efficiently identify relevant acquisition targets in a short amount of time, says the company. The next GreatDomains Premium Auction Event will begin on October 18 at 2:00 p.m. EST. |
