AT&T Extends FMC Contract.

Telecommunications provider AT&T announced that it has signed a two-year contract extension with Philadelphia-based chemical company FMC. AT&T says it will continue to manage and build network solutions to support 45 FMC facilities in the US, Canada, Central America and Asia.
AT&T's multiprotocol label switching technology provides each FMC location with direct connectivity to all other company locations and at the same time, remote virtual private network dial-in capabilities enable FMC employees to connect to the company's global network from off-site locations with increased efficiency and reliability. FMC also hosts business applications at two of AT&T's climate controlled facilities, says the company.
"AT&T offered us the most comprehensive networking solution with the capability to manage both domestic and international sites on the network," said Frank Gregg, director of technical infrastructure operations and security for FMC. "The scalability and security features of AT&T's global network were highly impressive. We are confident that AT&T has the technical infrastructure and consulting expertise to support our ever growing and evolving telecommunications needs."
