ICANN Opens .museum Agreement Proposal for Comments.
2007-03-06, HostMan.biz Opens the proposed .museum sTLD registry agreement for public comment; proposed changes include registration directly with the registry operator. ICANN, last week announced the proposed .museum sTLD registry agreement is posted for public comment and can be viewed at draft proposed agreement and appendices at proposed appendices. The proposed .museum registry agreement follows the format of other recent sTLD registry agreements negotiated by ICANN. The agreement is for a ten-year term, and provides for the same set of requirements for compliance with consensus and temporary policies except to the extent policy development has been delegated to the sponsoring organization, comprehensive registry data escrow and, approval of new registry services and modifications to existing registry services. Changes from the original proposal includes for the elimination of the wildcard. And, appendix S allows for the Sponsor to register names directly with the Registry Operator, strictly limited to 5,000 names. Fees to ICANN under the proposed registry agreement for .MUSEUM would be based on the total number of registrations. |
