LexisNexis to Host Data for Law Firms.
2006-11-30, HostMan.biz LexisNexis today announced that its Miamisburg, Ohio data center will take on the primary role of managing and optimizing servers, networks, and software for all law firms using NetDocuments from LexisNexis. NetDocuments' Salt Lake City datacenter will serve as the redundant site, providing law firms with two world-class redundant data centers as a platform for SaaS-based document management, extranets, email management, and litigation services. LexisNexis practice management solutions are part of LexisNexis Total Practice Solutions, the company's overarching offering of solutions to help lawyers and law firms succeed in the business and practice of law. LexisNexis offerings are designed for the way legal professionals work, in all of the areas essential to their success, including Client Development, Research Solutions, Practice Management and Litigation Services. In February, LexisNexis formed an alliance with NetDocuments, the leading SaaS (hosted) document services provider, to exclusively offer the NetDocuments service. NetDocuments from LexisNexis experiences 99.995% service availability, excluding scheduled down times. Data is replicated automatically between the two data centers, with the ability of each facility to service 100% of the processing loads. Both data centers are engineered to the highest levels of security and redundancy without compromise. Data is physically backed up into a Granite Mountain Vault, capable of withstanding any man-made or natural disasters.
