ISOMEDIA Expands Colocation Facilities.
2006-11-03, HostMan.biz ISOMEDIA, Inc., has expanded Colocation facilities in Western Washington. ISOMEDIA has opened two new facilities located in Bellevue and Seattle, adding to their newly expanded facility in Redmond. ISOMEDIA is pleased to announce the completion of the expansion of their Redmond Data Center. ISOMEDIA now has in place an enterprise class climate controlled environmental system with Liebert CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioner) units, fully-enclosed cabinets with locking doors, and on-site diesel generators; all monitored 24/7/365. The remodeled Data Center is now double in size with expanded Colocation space and new racking options for customers. ISOMEDIA has also upgraded Redmond Data Center security. There are nightly inspections of the facility and data center by professional security personnel. In addition, ISOMEDIA has upgraded the existing video surveillance system for better monitoring of activities and installed an electronic pass card system for facility access allowing for more secure entry and monitoring. Along with the expansion of the Redmond Data Center, ISOMEDIA has also opened an enterprise class facility in Bellevue as well as one in The Westin Building in downtown Seattle. "I don't think putting all your eggs in one datacenter is wise these days," said Stephen Milton Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technical Officer of ISOMEDIA. "We believe in smaller, distributed datacenters, where our customers can keep their servers close to their developers. ISOMEDIA is excited to be able to offer Colocation options to customers in three of the major business centers in western Washington." ISOMEDIA is now the largest Colocation Service Provider on the Eastside. ISOMEDIA has created a web of Colocation facilities to meet the needs of customers in Bellevue, Redmond and Seattle offering both ISOMEDIA Managed and Customer Managed Colocation service options. Managed Colocation offers customers the option to have their equipment monitored by ISOMEDIA's veteran System Administration staff and is ideal for companies that do not have a full IT staff where Customer Managed Colocation is administered by the customer's staff. "We offer the full range of services, from the single 1U server to a multiple rack solution," said Bruce Straughan President and Chairman of ISOMEDIA. "Western Washington has a shortage of quality data centers right now and we feel that this is a great step forward in filling that need." Colocation at any of the three facilities allows customers to be connected directly to a redundant Gigabit Internet backbone in ISOMEDIA's secure operating center. |
