Sitening Acquires Snipplr.

Sitening announced today that it has acquired Snipplr, a Web 2.0 Code Repository and Search Engine that allows programmers to find and share code. Snipplr will continue to operate as an independent service to preserve its unique brand and active community of developers.
“There is an incredible amount of knowledge in the development community, but before Snipplr there has not been an easy way to access it,” said Scott Holdren, Sitening’s President. “Snipplr enables programmers to effortlessly submit, share and find key snippets of code in a matter of seconds.”
“One key feature we’re excited about is the availability of software plugins,” says Jon Henshaw, Sitening’s Business Strategist. “Snipplr provides plugins that enable developers to retrieve and submit code inside a desktop application. We’re developing additional plugins for popular software packages like DreamWeaver and VisualStudio.”
