Register.it Authorized for .MOBI.
2006-05-12, HostMan.biz Register.it announced that it has been officially authorized by mTLD to accept the registration requests for the new .mobi domains. Starting from next week customers can book any name under the new extension .mobi, by filling a form on the site, for free. The registration procedure of .mobi domains is similar to that of .EU domains. The first Sunrise Period, also called Limited Industry Sunrise, will last from May 22 to May 29 and will be dedicated to the sector operators, i.e. the companies belonging to one of the following associations: GSM Association, The Wireless Association and Mobile Marketing Association. Then, from June 12 to August 21, all trademarks will be authorized to ask for their names registration under the .mobi extension. Finally, starting from August 28, the registrations will become public. |
