MSPAlliance Announces Five New End-User Committees.
2006-05-09, HostMan.biz The MSPAlliance (MSPA) announced the formation of five new end-user committees dedicated to educating consumers of managed services worldwide. The unique program features the delivery of educational material designed to highlight the benefits of managed services focused to specific geographic or market verticals. MSPAlliance end-user committees will focus on the financial services, legal services, healthcare, United Kingdom, and Australian market sectors. "The formation of these end-user committees is an important step in the maturation of the managed services industry," said Charles Weaver, president of the MSPAlliance. "By tackling the critical issue of education, our worldwide community of companies will be able to more effectively convey the advantages of managed services to the firms who can benefit from them." The Financial Services committee will feature contributions from seven MSPs: Champion Services Group, CommNet International, Altoria Solutions, Computer Network Solutions, LockNet, NextiraOne and IPC Technologies, Inc. Six MSPs will contribute to the Healthcare committee: Data Device, ABS Associates, EMR Group, Inc., Alpheon Corporation, DirectPointe and IntelliNet. The Legal Services committee will feature contributions from IT Business Solutions Group, Interactive Solutions International, mindSHIFT, Scott & Scott and Global Network Services. Vnetrix has agreed to contribute content for the United Kingdom Committee, and Integ and QTM will contribute to the Australia Committee. "The managed services industry is entering a new phase where educating the customer will play a crucial role," said Mike Backers, CEO of Altoria Solutions. "The last several years have been focused on reforming the channel by educating vendors and crafting technologies to expertly deliver IT services in a proactive manner with professional and accredited MSP organizations. This next phase of educating customers makes it clear that they have choices to help them reduce the business risks associated with managing critical business infrastructures and to maximize their investment in information technology."
