Rackspace Managed Hosting Names General Counsel.
2006-02-01, HostMan.biz Rackspace Managed Hosting today announced it has expanded its leadership team naming Alan Schoenbaum as general counsel. Schoenbaum has more than 20 years of experience in corporate and securities law representing growth companies. He will serve as a collaborative partner on the executive team to lead all of the company's legal functions. Prior to Rackspace, Schoenbaum served as a partner in the San Antonio office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP where he was named to the 2005-2006 edition of The Best Lawyers in America, the definitive guide to legal excellence in the United States. His 21-year practice at this leading international law firm primarily focused on mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, and private equity and venture capital transactions.
