Web Host AIT Opens Atlanta Branch Office.

Atlanta IT consultant Dave Stanley is part of a first-of-its-kind venture. Stanley, a veteran AIT reseller, is now owner of AIT / Atlanta, the company’s 2nd branch office. The dealership will create about 40 jobs over the next two years and AIT is also making a seven-figure investment in infrastructure and intellectual property. “This is a best-case scenario for Atlanta-area businesses – the industrial-grade infrastructure and resources of a global service provider plus local people with a local address and local phone number for support,” said Stanley.
The Atlanta office is AIT’s second dealership; the company opened a branch in Chicago last month. About 20 more will open during the year, capitalizing on the strength of the hosting company’s existing reseller network. “This makes our resellers more competitive in pursuing larger deals in their respective communities,” said Clarence Briggs, AIT’s Chief Executive Officer. “With the reseller program, AIT is transparent to the end customer, which is good when dealing with small companies. But, bigger projects require something beyond one or two people working out of a small office/home office environment.”
Along with the AIT’s core product line of web design and hosting, e-commerce, and other virtual services, the dealership also includes IP telephony, hardware and networking, security and commerce products, and IT training. Stanley, in essence, is a consultant who can help businesses cut through any confusion in a face-to-face setting, emphasizing the ‘service’ component of being an Internet Services Provider. “My job is to show companies how to get maximum value from their technology investment,” said Stanley.
