Web Host Data Return Adds Platform.
2005-12-15, HostMan.biz Managed hosting provider Data Return (datareturn.com) announced on Wednesday that it had launched Infinistructure, a utility computing platform for managed services. Data Return says the platform provides an on demand infrastructure for running business applications that also accommodates application migration across physical servers. With Infinistructure's flexibility and efficiency, the company says, customers are able to scale application infrastructures to keep in step with demand while maintaining costs. Infinistructure's server and storage infrastructure features 64-bit dual core AMD Opteron processors, redundancy features and gigabit networking and disk performance designed to outperform typical dedicated solutions. The system is managed by Data Return's proprietary digitalOps enterprise management software, which provides application-level monitoring, change management and systems management tools. "We've taken five years of knowledge and experience in delivering utility computing solutions for clients and put it into an innovative new technology platform specifically designed to address the business needs of our customers," says Sunny C. Vanderbeck, chief executive officer for Data Return. "Infinistructure brings capacity-on-demand computing to our clients while greatly reducing capital investment requirements, providing an accessible entry point to best-of-breed application infrastructure and services.
