Internap Names New Chief Executive.
2005-11-23, HostMan.biz Internap Network Services (internap.com) said on Monday that recently appointed chief operating officer James P. DeBlasio was promoted to president and chief executive officer, replacing Gregory A. Peters, who resigned. DeBlasio was named president and chief operating officer in September. Since August of 2003, he served on the company's board of directors and was chairman of the audit committee. "Internap is fortunate that Jim DeBlasio is available to lead the company as its CEO," says Gene Eidenberg, chairman at Internap. "He is a strong operating executive who brings substantial industry experience to the company. The board of directors is confident in his leadership and strategic vision." The company also named board member Patricia Higgins as vice-chairman of the role. Higgins, formerly president and CEO of Switch and Data, will coordinate the management transition in this new role. |
