Web Host Rackspace Picks Economic Tool.
2005-11-04, HostMan.biz Rackspace Managed Hosting (rackspace.com) said on Thursday that it had adopted Economic Value Added, a tool developed by Stern, Stewart & Co. that measures the difference between the cost and return on capital. The company says it began measuring EVA to increase cash flow and asset utilization so that it can invest in new products, facilities and programs. Lanham Napier, president of Rackspace Managed Hosting, says the tool will create additional value for customers, employees and stakeholders. Rackspace also reported strong third quarter revenue growth on Thursday, with total revenue and net income growing 46 percent and 123 percent respectively over the same period last year. |
