Data center automation software developer Opsware (opsware.com) announced on Monday the introduction of version 4.5 of the Opsware Network Automation System at the Gartner Symposium and IT Expo 2006.
The latest version's new capabilities include intelligent auto-discovery, policy prioritization and risk assessment, a new Web Services API and JMS Connector for enhancing integrations and internationalization to support Opsware in the Asia-pacific and EMEA. Opware says the newly added features enable users to reduce costs and maximize efficiencies.
"Enterprises are increasingly turning to Opsware automation as their IT infrastructures continue to grow in size and complexity," says Eric Johnson, vice president of development at Opsware. "This next-generation of our software continues to evolve network automation, supporting customers' adoption of service-based architectures and providing enterprises with a deeper level of control over IT's strategic priorities including compliance and policy management.
