TeleCity (telecity.com) said on Thursday that its second data center in London and two Amsterdam facilities had received BS7799 certification. Issued by the British Standards Institute, BS7799 is a security standard for benchmarking information security management systems within an organization.
The pan-European company's Frankfurt facility was certified earlier this month and its data centers in Manchester, Dublin, Stockholm and Paris are schedule to be accredited by 2006.
"As one of only 215 organizations with this accreditation in the UK, and one of only a few companies achieving this status in the Netherlands and Germany, our compliance with BS7799 in these markets is a measure of our commitment to security management and demonstrates that TeleCity takes security seriously," says Ricky Hudson, CEO at TeleCity. "The completion of the audit at Bonnington House in London, and in Amsterdam and Frankfurt, is a testament to the hard work of our staff and our commitment to our customers to provide top quality systems and processes."
