Go Daddy Adds Domain Registration Tool.
2005-10-06, HostMan.biz Domain registrar and Web host Go Daddy (godaddy.com) announced on Wednesday it has added a new domain management feature called AccountExec. Available free to all Go Daddy customers, AccountExec enables domain owners to delegate domain management functions to others, while still maintaining total control over their domains. With AccountExec, the registrant of one or more domains initially creates groups of domains, then assigns one or more AccountExecs to update and manage those domains on their behalf. The registrant appoints the AccountExec one or more pre-defined roles for each domain group, such as Read Only, Admin, Contacts, Nameservers, Auto Renew, Cancel, Hosts and Domain Forwarding. "Customers asked for a tool that would allow them to delegate domain name management responsibilities to a variety of people on a variety of levels, yet ensure they retain control over their domains," says Bob Parsons, president and founder of Go Daddy. "So we developed the exact solution they requested." |
