ISS Launches New Security Service.

Internet Security Systems (iss.net) announced on Monday that it had launched a new managed service that enables organizations of all sizes to assess and track security vulnerabilities while reducing risks.
ISS says the service combines internal and external scanning services, identifying risks across the network perimeter and within enterprises. The service also includes integrated workflow and case management tools for tracking and fixing vulnerabilities.
"Today's businesses rely on increasingly complex networking environments to expand the boundaries of commerce and accessibility to customers, partners and suppliers," says Rick Miller, vice president of ISS managed security services. "This new business environment, while providing benefits like improved productivity and cost savings, also significantly increases the potential for security risk and the need for regulatory standards, thus requiring organizations of all types to implement more comprehensive, formalized security procedures."
