Q9 Celebrates Data Center Anniversary.
2005-09-28, HostMan.biz Q9 Networks (q9.com) announced it would celebrate the third anniversary of its Calgary data center with a visit from Mayor Dave Bronconnier on October 4, 2005. Since opening its facility in October 2002, Q9 has occupied almost half its capacity by drawing in major Alberta organizations, including AltaGas, EnCana, Running Room, the Alberta Real Estate Association and many others. Q9's Calgary data center provides secure physical infrastructure, including biometric authentication, video surveillance and round-the-clock security officers, while still permitting unannounced customer access. The facility is designed to prevent any single point of failure, with multiple layers of redundancy in power systems, HVAC, and fire detection and suppression. All systems are monitored from Q9's multiple network operations centers 24 hours a day. |
