SAVVIS Names New Hosting VP.
2005-09-27, HostMan.biz Managed hosting provider SAVVIS (savvis.net) announced on Tuesday that it had named Michael Tardif vice president and general manager of its Global Hosting Services division. Tardif will oversee SAVVIS's hosting business, providing overall direction and strategy, developing new products and services, evaluating emerging technologies and growing SAVVIS's market share. He will also be responsible for new customer implementations and the ongoing migration of existing customers to SAVVIS' utility services platform launched last year. Prior to joining SAVVIS, Tardif worked with the utility computing consulting practice at VERITAS, where he was vice president of technology. "SAVVIS' visionary approach is leading a sea level change in thinking about the deployment architecture of IT for companies large and small," says Tardif. "Businesses are increasingly ready to adopt utility services for new applications, legacy systems, and total IT outsourcing. I look forward to participating in a trend that is breaking new ground in the industry." |
