CSC Provides Web Hosting for DoD Sites. 2005-09-27, HostMan.biz Computer Sciences Corporation (csc.com) announced on Tuesday that it would provide Web hosting and application support services for the Defense Technical Information Center. The company says the contract, incremental to a five-year deal signed in 2001, will be worth approximately $42.3 million if the two-year option is exercised. According to the agreement, CSC will host internal and external Department of Defense Web sites for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, Washington Headquarters Services and other DoD offices and agencies. CSC will also establish single sign-on network capabilities, implement connectivity, support Web services, improve registration processes and provide content management systems.
