Blogging Creates Photo Hosting Demand.
2005-09-15, HostMan.biz According to reports released this week, the widespread growth in blogging has created a growing demand for photo-hosting services. A report released Tuesday by Neilsen/NetRatings said traffic on image hosting sites has increased 406 percent since the beginning of the year. The biggest sources for that traffic are top blog hosting sites, including MySpace.com, Xnga.com, LiveJournal, Blogger and MSN Spaces. According to the report, 29.3 million people accessed blogging or blog-related sites in July, an increase of 31 percent over numbers measured at the beginning of the year. The company said that girls between the ages of 12 and 17 were the biggest users of photo sites, making up 15 percent of total users. Boys the same age were second. Since January, said the report, the top image hosting site by traffic was PhotoBucket, followed by ImageShack, Putfile.com, TinyPic.com and Imagevenue. |
