Web United Preps for Hurricane Season.

Managed network services and colocation provider Web United (webunited.net) said on Thursday that it is preparing for the south Florida hurricane season by upgrading its equipment.
Michael Spiegel, president of Web United, says the company had purchased and installed a new 312 KVA backup generator that operates on a 500 gallon diesel fuel tank. The unit, Spiegel says, ensures automatic fail over upon utility outage and can fully power the Web United facility for five days.
"Business owners are beginning to think of their data like their home and personal belongings," says Spiegel. "Most business owners now realize that they must be prepared for data disaster, they know they can't gamble with their data."
