ISS Expands Intrusion Detection Service.
2005-08-25, HostMan.biz Internet Security Systems (iss.net) announced earlier this week that it had added new features to its Managed Intrusion Detection and Prevention Service. ISS's service protects networks and servers from malicious threats and unauthorized internal and external access. The new features include additional support for third-party security products, expanded vulnerability management capabilities and a tiered pricing model for both large enterprises and small companies. The vendors supported include CISCO, 3Com and McAfee. The company says the new additions are designed to help make the service suitable for organizations of all sizes. "As the first security vendor to offer managed security services, ISS already leads the industry in expertise," says Rick Miller, vice president of managed security services at Internet Security Systems. "Following on the heels of recent updates to our managed firewall services, ISS will now offer additional platform support and a tiered pricing model for managed IDS/IPS, making 24-hour security analysis and response a reality for almost any organization." |
