SSL vendor and identity verification solutions provider GeoTrust (geotrust.com) and digital certificate management solutions provider CertAlert Software (certalertsoftware.com) announced on Tuesday that they had formed a partnership with the goal of helping companies track and manage their SSL certificates.
Through the partnership, GeoTrust will resell CertAlert's software and use the CertAlert Intelligent Discovery Tool to provide large enterprises overviews of the SSL certificates deployed in their networks.
"As network security continues to place among the top IT priorities, the market for SSL certificates continues its strong growth," says Dean Coclin, director of business development at GeoTrust. "Along with this growth comes the need to more easily track and manage SSL certificates within the enterprise. CertAlert's out-of-the-box automated discovery allows organizations to rapidly identify, locate and inventory their SSL assets across the enterprise and then develop best practices for certificate lifecycle management."
