MonsterHosting Offers Remote Monitoring.
2005-08-18, HostMan.biz Canadian Web hosting provider MonsterHosting.ca (monsterhosting.ca) announced on Thursday that it had launched the remote Web site monitoring services dotUPTIME. According to the company, the new service enables resellers and site operators to monitor their sites’ uptime through a Web tool or downloadable software application. When downtime is detected, alerts are sent via email or SMS text message. Weekly and monthly statistics reports are also available. “What we have created is going to save a lot of people a lot of headaches, and let site owners focus on selling instead of worrying if there site is down,” says Gary Jones, sales and marketing manager for MonsterHosting.ca. DotUPTIME monitors all services, including HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, POP, IMAP, and FTP. The service is free for domain monitoring at 20-minute intervals. For shorter intervals, fees apply. |
