Register.com Unveils Name Console 2.0.
2005-08-02, HostMan.biz Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Register.com (register.com) announced on Monday that it had been accredited by EURid to register .eu domains and would begin accepting pre-registrations for the first two phases of the sunrise period. The company says that in response to customer concerns and uncertainty about the registration process, customers would be able to run their registrations through the Name Console 2.0 platform. Name Console is a rules-based, patent pending application that enables Register.com to update all .eu registration rules requirements in real time as EURid announces them. The company says the support tool will keep customers up to date and reduce confusion over .eu regulations while creating a streamlined point and click process. "We understand that for many companies this can be an intimidating and complicated process, especially if they have limited resources and personnel dedicated to their domain name management," says David Saias, global vice president of sales and marketing for Register.com. "Register.com, however, has years of experience working with multinational corporate clients as well as the numerous gTLDs and ccTLDs worldwide. It is for these reasons and our technology that we've been able to simplify this process for our clients to just a few clicks." Name Console 2.0 also features a document management system that enables clients to organize trademark documents and submit them for multiple domain name orders. |
