Telehouse Launches London Colocation.
2005-07-20, HostMan.biz Telehouse Europe (telehouse.net) announced on Tuesday that it had launched Telehouse Metro, a new colocation service located at the company's Metro data center in London, England. The company says the service, targeted at London-based small and mid-sized businesses, will help SMBs alleviate rising property prices while making IT systems less vulnerable to physical loss or damage. The service is also a solution to the well-documented lack of data center space in London, Telehouse says. "Many businesses are using valuable office space as an in-house data center, incurring ongoing costs that are hard to justify," says Peter Morgan-Hare, business development director of Telehouse Europe. "Office environments are not usually set up to ensure redundant power systems and sufficient cooling systems are in place, therefore using a purpose-built data center to support the business can improve uptime as well as providing cost efficiencies." Telehouse's facilities include 24-hour on-site engineering support, fire protection systems and cooling systems. |
