SingTel Picks TeleCity in Germany.
2005-07-20, HostMan.biz European colocation provider TeleCity (telecity.com) announced on Tuesday that SingTel (singtel.com) would locate its main German point of presence in TeleCity's Frankfurt data center. TeleCity says SingTel's point of presence in Germany will help it better serve its European customers and expand its overall reach. "As part of our program of growth in Europe we consider it vital to work with a trustworthy data center provider so that we can concentrate on the imperatives of managing and developing our business in the region," says Kevin Waldock, technical director of SingTel Europe. "TeleCity's data center is an excellent facility for us in Germany. The existence of a healthy customer base in the country, among which includes a large number of carriers, is a major reason why we chose this as the location from which to offer our services. The engineers' proactive approach and service offered convinced us that they are the right company for us." TeleCity will provide managed data center services, rapid response, monitoring and management with the support of a 24-hour engineering staff. |
