MCI Hosting Danger Inc..
2005-06-29, HostMan.biz Global communications provider MCI (mci.com) announced on Tuesday that it has signed a four-year agreement with mobile Internet platform Danger Inc. (danger.com), developer of the software and services that power the T-Mobile Sidekick handheld device. MCI will provide Danger with hosting services to meet the escalating demand by wireless operators for its mobile Internet and data services. MCI says its data center services will enable Danger to focus on further developing wireless data applications and services for the mobile Internet. MCI Data Center Services provides Danger with the performance, security, and scalability for hosted data services that it requires to accommodate the growing demand for its wireless instant messaging, email and Internet access. "Danger can rely on MCI Hosting Services to keep their next-generation wireless operations running smoothly day-in and day-out," says Steve Young, senior vice president of MCI Commercial Markets. "As more wireless operators rely on these new 'must-have' IP-based services, MCI Hosting is playing an increasingly important role supporting Danger's operations so they can focus on serving their customers." Danger reviewed numerous hosting providers, guided by the leadership of telecom services and consulting firm LinkSource Communications, until finally choosing MCI. The communications provider meets Danger's critical networking and infrastructure objectives as it expands by partnering with other wireless operators. |
