Emic Networks (emicnetworks.com) announced on Monday that Rackspace Managed Hosting (rackspace.com) would provide managed hosting services for the delivery of Emic Application Clustering. The companies say the partnership was established because of their support for open support platforms.
Emic's clustering solutions present an image of a unified system while dynamically performing load balancing and providing high availability, scalability and performance for open source application stacks. Emic offers clustering solutions for MySQL databases and Apache servers, as well as for the LAMP and LAMJ, Apache, MySQL and PHP/Python/PERL or JSP/J2EE stacks.
