Digiweb Acquires Tiscali Broadband.
2005-06-20, HostMan.biz Irish Internet service and Web hosting provider Digiweb (digiweb.ie) announced on Monday that it had completed its acquisition of Tiscali's (tiscali.co.uk) satellite broadband business in Italy for an undisclosed sum. Digiweb says it will immediately take over customer support and provisioning of services to new customers. "We are delighted to extend our broadband reach throughout Italy with this agreement, and look forward to providing our new customers with a world class service from our broadband satellite platforms," says Declan Campbell, operations manager of Digiweb. "This is the first of our aggressive expansions throughout Europe and indeed globally." Digiweb says it is currently evaluating other broadband sector acquisitions in Ireland and the rest of Europe. Digiweb is already servicing customers in Germany, France, the United Kingdom and Austria. |
