Web Host The Planet Names President.
2005-06-17, HostMan.biz Web hosting provider The Planet Internet Services (theplanet.com) announced on Thursday that it had named Scott Hyten its president. Hyten, a graduate of Harvard, was previously CEO of Wild Brain, an animation studio based in San Francisco. He began his career as a systems engineer and served as senior vice president at Computer Sciences Corporation. "I am excited to become part of The Planet's extraordinarily talented management team," says Hyten. "As we accelerate the expansion of our data centers and launch our Focus Series servers, Insomnia 365 gaming servers and other new solutions, we hope to build on our reputation as the industry leader in innovation, support and value." The company also announced several other news hires, including Bryan Lynn as vice president of product development; Jeremy Doupe as director of product development; and Rob Orr as general counsel. Will Charnock, Yul Shelton, Chris Turbeville and Jeff Reinis all received promotions. |
