Akamai Completes Speedera Acquisition.

Content delivery network operator Akamai Technologies (akamai.com) said on Monday that it had completed its acquisition of rival Speedera Networks (speedera.com), creating one of the world's largest content delivery service vendors.
Akamai says the acquisition, announced in March, gives customers a wider range of services available over its expanded globally distributed content and application delivery network.

In addition to the contribution of Speedera's US-based team, the company's strong presence in Bangalore provides us an opportunity to establish operations in India."
