Host Color Offers Data Center Choice.
2005-06-09, HostMan.biz Web hosting provider Host Color announced on Thursday that Netherlands Mega Pack hosting plan customers will now be able to choose between the company's US and Europe-based data centers. Host Color's US-based data center is in South Bend, Indiana, and its European-based data center is in Amsterdam. The company says pricing for the plan will not change. "Since it offers extensive resources and reliability, our Mega Pack is often chosen by larger companies and IT professionals. Now with the added choice of European hosting they can devise better strategies for their global Web sites," says Vesselin Drangajov, manager at Host Color. "Although trans-Atlantic Internet connections have never been seen as problematic there is still some network latency - around 100ms; the ~10ms latency that our Amsterdam server will offer in Europe is very hard to match. This of course may seem like little difference to most users but we are sure IT professionals will appreciate its benefits." Host Color launched in Europe a few weeks ago. |
