Web Host Novara.ie Implements 3D Secure.

Payment solutions provider EuroConex (www.euroconex.com/) announced on Monday that Web hosting provider Novara.ie (www.novara.ie) had become the first Irish company to implement 3D Secure, its new payment processing service.
3D Secure is an authentication method that enables merchants, issuers, acquirers and cardholders to identify and verify themselves for online card not present payments. The service allows the merchant to authenticate the cardholder with the issuer and association.
"As one of Ireland's largest hosting companies the bulk of our sales are Web-based," says Eoin Costello, managing director of Novara.ie. "As a result the attempted use of stolen cards to pay for services is an everyday issue. The 3D Secure solution offers us the prospect of diminishing fraudulent activity considerably."
