Microsoft Confirms IIS Changes.
2005-06-03, HostMan.biz Software giant Microsoft (microsoft.com) said earlier this week that the next version of Internet Information Services Web Server 7 would integrate solutions for developing ASP.NET components and convert many basic functions into optional modules, reports say. The solution's administrative console has reportedly been restructured, giving users a greater amount of control. Microsoft says the security in IIS 7 is as strong as IIS 6, which the company claims has had no security vulnerabilities since being rebuilt. IIS version 7 is slated for release some time in early 2006. |
