C I Host Picks WebHosting Prospector.
2005-06-01, HostMan.biz Netvention (www.netvention.com), a provider of services for finding, extracting and harvesting business information from the Internet, announced on Tuesday that Web hosting provider C I Host (www.cihost.com) had selected its WebHosting Prospector Tool for sales lead generation. WebHosting Prospector uses Netvention's database of over 1.9 million companies to help Web hosting companies find and reach new clients. The database is compiled with the company's patented extraction technology Netvention Extractor, which crawls the Internet, pulling important business information from company Web sites. Over 30 search fields are available as search criteria including hosting type, IP and DNS, Web server type, operating system and company size. "WebHosting Prospector saves valuable time for his sales staff by enabling them to instantly find new leads based on selection criteria found nowhere else," says Christopher Faulkner, CEO of CI Host. "The company profiles provide CI Host with critical details of what each prospect's current hosting usage is and thus allowing for better targeting." WebHosting Prospector was officially launched in March.
