Openwave Picks Digital Realty Trust.
2005-05-24, HostMan.biz Technology property owner and manager Digital Realty Trust (digitalrealty.com) announced on Monday that open software products and services provider Openwave Systems (openwave.com) has chosen a Digital Realty Trust facility to house its new data center. Digital Realty Trust says its data center facilities are physically secure facilities with the power and cooling capabilities to support critical enterprise applications. Digital Realty Trust provides scalability from a hundred square feet to thousands of square feet in facilities with carrier and managed service provider neutrality. Openwave's data center will be approximately 22,000 rentable square feet in size with approximately 2,000 rentable square feet of supporting office space. Openwave says its communication expertise, and its large portfolio of products - which includes mobile phone software, multimedia messaging software, email and location and mobile gateways - enable its customers to deliver innovative data services. "Digital Realty Trust offers enterprise customers like Openwave flexible, cost-competitive data center facilities with the long-term security of dealing directly with the landlord," says Michael F. Foust, CEO of Digital Realty Trust. "Digital Realty Trust also supports its enterprise customers with extensive consulting services to ensure that a tenant's data center is designed to achieve optimal operational efficiency and to meet future needs." |
