Go Daddy Fourth in SSL Sales.
2005-05-19, HostMan.biz Domain registrar and Web host GoDaddy (godaddy.com), announced this week that it is continuing to experience exponential growth in Secure Certificates sales. Go Daddy's secure certificate sales for April showed a 20 percent increase from the prior month according to Internet research firm Netcraft. In less than a year of selling secure certificates, Go Daddy has become the fourth-largest secure certificates provider worldwide. "We continue to be very pleased with our achievements in the secure certificate marketplace," says Bob Parsons, president and founder of The Go Daddy Group. "Still, we are committed to improving the value proposition of all our product offerings." The company also announced it has become the third largest shared hosting provider worldwide, according to Netcraft. Its shared hosting accounts have grown from 21,000 active shared hosting sites when it first began in January 2003, to 383,893 in January 2005. As of May 2005, Go Daddy has 678,261 active shared hosting accounts - a 76.7 percent increase from January. |
