LaGarde Adds Authentication.
2005-04-21, HostMan.biz LaGarde (storefront.net), developer of the StoreFront e-commerce platform, announced on Wednesday that it had integrated CardinalCommerce’s payer authentication services, Cardinal Centinel, into the StoreFront 6 product, further preventing users from falling victim to credit card fraud. The integration, says LaGarde, will also increase Web site shopper confidence, and in some cases, reduce credit card interchange fees. Internet security issues have compelled both Visa and MasterCard to develop 3-D Secure programs, to meet the specific needs of an online environment. Cardinal Centinel is designed for e-commerce businesses that are seeking to participate in the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode programs. "We see this as a tremendously exciting opportunity to better arm e-businesses to combat credit card fraud, and simultaneously to help inspire greater consumer confidence in online purchasing, as consumers begin to recognize the greater credit card security offered by sites displaying the Verified by Visa and SecureCode logos," says Bob LaGarde, CEO and founder of LaGarde. |
