Virtuozzo Supports 64-bit AMD, Intel.

Web hosting automation software developer SWsoft (sw-soft.com) announced on Tuesday that its server virtualization technology Virtuozzo had been updated to support 64-bit AMD and Intel servers.

"Virtuozzo is the first server virtualization solution to use the maximum computing power of Intel and AMD. Virtuozzo's architecture is better able to take advantage of underlying hardware and software and doesn't have to recreate technology to recognize full potential."
Swsoft says the update will be available in the summer of 2005. Virtuozzo, available for both Windows and Linux, partitions a single server into multiple virtual servers that perform and behave exactly like stand-alone dedicated servers.
