ShopSite, ScanAlert Offer Security Tool.
2005-04-13, HostMan.biz E-commerce solutions provider ShopSite (shopsite.com), and Web site security certification service provider ScanAlert (scanalert.com), announced on Tuesday that they have released One Click Compliance. The new integrated e-commerce service allows online merchants using ShopSite's shopping cart application to become automatically compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard for no extra cost. The companies say One Click Compliance is the first data security program, offered through Web hosts, that provides free and simple "automated" PCI compliance certification to online merchants. Jointly developed by ShopSite and ScanAlert, One Click Compliance ensures that merchant transactions - from Web site and shopping cart to the payment gateway - are certified to meet the PCI security standard. As one of the first Web hosts to deploy the system, LexiConn Internet Services estimates that over 700 of its e-commerce merchants can qualify, while ShopSite vendor YourHost.com estimates that several hundred of its online merchants qualify. "SME merchants can now easily and without added expense achieve the full potential of Internet e-commerce within a secure Web site that is fully compliant with payment card industry requirements," says ShopSite CEO David Hills. "Web hosts can confidently recommend ShopSite's e-commerce solution to their merchants because ScanAlert will certify the merchant's business practices, Web sites, Web hosting infrastructure and the ShopSite shopping cart to meet the PCI standard at no cost." |
