SWsoft, Egenera Forge Alliance.

According to the joint alliances, SWsoft and Egenera will participate in co-marketing, sales opportunities and testing to further the use of both the Egenera BladeFrame system and SWsoft's Virtuozzo. Egenera's BladeFrame combines blade server technology with virtualization software, creating a utility computing environment in the data center and reducing the complexity of data center infrastructure. SWsoft’s Virtuozzo partitions servers into multiple virtual units that behave and perform like standalone machines. "Our alliance with Egenera represents a positive step in providing our customers with solutions to simplify the management of their server infrastructure," says Kurt Daniel, director of marketing at SWsoft. "The combination of Egenera’s BladeFrame system and Virtuozzo can lower TCO through server virtualization that scales and utilizes each server to its fullest potential." SWsoft said Virtuozzo for Windows has been validated on Egenera's BladeFrame system.
