Web Host NEDS Launches SpamFree.
2005-03-21, HostMan.biz Managed services, infrastructure management and Web hosting provider New England Data Services announced on Monday that it had introduced SpamFree, a fully managed server-side anti-spam solution. SpamFree is a hosted solution, with NEDS routing messages through its server infrastructure. It uses updated anti-spam rules from outside spam databases, checking the headers, contents, and other spam indicators information in each message. Scanning for viruses also takes place. According to NEDS, the entire process of routing email messages from its infrastructure to the customer’s server takes an average of 400 milliseconds. The company says SpamFree will help stem the ongoing spam epidemic, which the CAN-SPAN Act has failed to do since being signed into law over a year ago. NEDS says businesses will also benefit from not having to invest in new hardware and software. |
