Comodo Launches Content Certificates.
2005-03-17, HostMan.biz Internet security specialist Comodo (comodogroup.com) announced on Wednesday that it had launched content verification certificates, part of its Establishing Trust for e-business initiative. The certificates, available through the contentverification.com Web site, are deployed either on specific Web pages or across an entire Web site, binding the content of the page to the domain. The certificates enable users to verify that content displayed on a particular Web site can be trusted, a major concern given the prevalence of fraud and phishing scams. "CVCs offer more possibilities to establish trust with your customers," says Melih Abdulhayoglu, president and CEO of the Comodo Group. "Comodo have effectively leveled the playing field ensuring brands both big and small have the ability to establish trust and build confidence." Comodo's content verification certificates are supported by Internet Explorer 5.01 onwards, Netscape Beta 8 and AOL Beta 0.68 running Vengine. Comodo recently acquired Positive Software Corporation, a developer of Web hosting automation software. |
