Comodo Launches Linux Adoption Project.
2005-03-16, HostMan.biz Internet security specialist Comodo (comodogroup.com) announced on Tuesday that it had launched Zero Touch Linux, a project designed to encourage the adoption of Linux in the enterprise by removing usability barriers common to Linux server management and configuration. "We need to live in a Zero Touch world if Linux and the open source model is to displace proprietary software in corporate back office infrastructures," says Melih Abdulhayoglu, president and CEO of Comodo. "Businesses are aware that Linux is the most stable and secure operating system available, but potential users are reluctant to adopt it due to its difficult configuration and use. We need to simplify the nexus of interaction between administrators and servers down to familiar point and click interfaces." Comodo has incorporated user interfaces across a range of server applications on top of its Linux operating system Trustix OS. Comodo recently acquired Web hosting automation software developer Positive Software (psoft.net). |
