Digital River Enhances SoftwarePassport.

E-commerce outsourcing provider Digital River (digitalriver.com) announced on Monday that it had made new enhancements to its SoftwarePassort technology, extending its digital revenue management capabilities to accommodate a wider range of software delivery options, business models and software applications, as well as offer more merchandising, marketing and international support
"Our SoftwarePassport technology continues to provide our software publishing clients an important tool for not only protecting, but also marketing, selling, distributing and tracking their digital assets across untapped, global online markets," says Joel Ronning, Digital River's CEO. "In addition to facilitating our clients' global growth objectives, the technology also supports two strategic corporate objectives for Digital River - the expansion of our Online Sales Network and increased market penetration in European and Asia Pacific geographies."
Digital River says it plans to expand SoftwarePassport's support from 32- to 64-bit applications. The 64-bit version is slated for release in the spring of 2005.
