Siemens Deploys Ensim Unify Platform.
2005-03-09, HostMan.biz Web hosting automation software developer Ensim (ensim.com) announced on Wednesday that Siemens (siemens.co.uk) Solutions1 selected the Ensim Unify hosting automation platform for delivery of its messaging and collaboration offerings, including Exchange 2003, Windows Sharepoint Services and other add-on email services. Ensim Unify provides a single infrastructure for managing deployments of hosted Microsoft services. "Microsoft recommended Ensim, and upon evaluation of the Ensim Unify solution we were confident that they were the right partner for managing and delivering hosted services," says Jonathan Evans, head of marketing for Siemens Solution1. "Ensim brought a deep expertise in Hosted Exchange 2003, and their technical team was with us every step of the way in implementing a complex solution. Most importantly, Ensim understands the need for differentiation and designed their platform with extensibility in mind to help us meet the needs of our ever-changing market." Ensim Unify includes extensibility features that enable Siemens to integrate add-on services such as anti-spam. It also comes with APIs for building custom interfaces. "Ensim Unify was built to enable service providers to offer new and compelling services to their customers," says Sandip Gupta, CEO of Ensim. "Looking to the future, Siemens can leverage Ensim Unify's extensibility and open architecture to launch additional hosted services to further differentiate their offerings and provide ongoing value to their customers." Siemens says it will migrate all current customers over to the Ensim Unify platform. |
