Opsware Releases NAS 4.0 Software.
2005-03-07, HostMan.biz Data center automation software developer Opsware (opsware.com) announced on Monday that it has released Opsware Network Automation System 4.0, a solution for network infrastructure management. According to Opsware, NAS 4.0 fully automates network-related priorities, including regulatory compliance, policy enforcement, security administration and change process automation. The solution, Opsware says, eases the management of network devices, while dramatically improving service quality and reducing costs. "With over 39 million network devices installed across IT organizations, traditional approaches to network management are no longer able to keep up. Organizations are demanding a greater degree of automation and visibility over their entire IT infrastructures, which can only be addressed by a next-generation solution such as the Opsware Network Automation System," says Eric Johnson, vice president of development at Opsware. "Opsware NAS 4.0 provides measurable value in the day-to-day management of network devices, and relief to organizations under pressure to comply with corporate standards and regulations. By adding the Network Automation System to our existing IT automation suite we have taken a tremendous leap forward into the future of IT automation." Opsware NAS 4.0 also comes with custom reporting capabilities and automated auditing and reporting for Sarbanes-Oxley, ITIL, HIPAA and COBIT. Opsware says customers have reported compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley that is five times faster than manual procedures. |
