Fire Destroys Logic Networks Operations.
2005-03-01, HostMan.biz A fire this past Saturday at the building of Web hosting provider Logic Networks destroyed approximately $500,000 worth of equipment and took down all its customer's Web sites, reports say. The fire took place at Logic Networks's operations on 300 South Gay Street in Knoxville, Tennessee. Investigators said the fire started in an apartment on the first floor of the three-story building, according to reports. The fire's origin is considered suspicious, reports say, because investigators have not been able to determine the cause of the fire. Mike Coffey, owner of Logic Networks, said in reports that members of the community have offered the use of temporary office space and equipment. For the time being, Coffey said, the company would move to facilities on Kingston Pike. Logic Networks employs 13 people and hosts approximately 100 Web sites. Coffey said that all customer Web sites would be up and running within 48 hours, according to reports published on the weekend. At press time, the company's Web site was still offline. |
